Founded in 2007, ForeFlight is devoted to giving pilots the best possible mobile flight planning tools. ForeFlight was one of the first 100 apps in the Apple App Store and continues to be a favorite of the flying community for the past 10 years.

ForeFlight releases new features roughly 6 times annually or about every 8 weeks, thus lots of smart work in fast paced environment.

REDEFINING HOW PILOTS NAVIGATE THE SKYS

ForeFlight introduced vector-based Global Aeronautical Maps in August 2016 streamlining the way pilots to plan and navigate the skies. This effort required developing our own rendering engine that was able to support high performance maps; a 2 year effort. Unlike other Electronic Flight Bag applications, ForeFlight maps allow users to experience a continuous zoom with icons and labels that dynamically scale and fade in and out, removing downtime needed for new data to be displayed and for icons to be redrawn which each zoom.

WE'RE HERE FOR YOU IN GOOD TIMES  IN BAD.

Glide Advisor was developed to help pilots in emergencies get their planes on the ground safely. It can be difficult to determine if your plane is able to make a desired landing zone, especially in a high stress situation. Many pilots attempt to turn back, but this is rarely the right decision and can lead to events like crashing. Glide advisor reduces this risk by taking into account terrain, altitude, and winds when displaying a ring of safe traveling distance, allowing pilots to focus on everything else they need to do which helps ensure a safer landing.
